Happy Birthday B!!!

3 Years ago our prayers were answered.

And we thank God for every day that we have with him.

Its been the most wonderful and amazing 3 years...
So to celebrate how awesome he is we had another big birthday :)

This year we had a Mickey Mouse Themed Party at the Gym he goes too.

The Yummy sugar cookies I made

So for about 75% of the party b did his favorite thing. Play basketball
(and he even made baskets, it was like 6ft tall!)

Cousin Olivia with Aunt Teresa shows off her balancing skills
(She also goes to gym class there!)

He deff. loves the cake!

His train set got an upgrade for his b day.
Kenn did an amazing job getting it all to fit.

I think he likes his new big boy golf set

And yes that is a "professional" golf set

This child could not get any more adorable.
*sigh* he could totally be a model

We had an absolute blast at his party,
everything went so smoothly and I think all the kids had a great time.
We really appreciate all of the family and friends that came out to party!
I know B had a great time!!!

Las Vegas 2010

Every year my office goes to the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas.
This year is my 3rd time attending, my 4 year anniversary with VetCentric
and FINALLY Kenn was able to go!
(he didn't in the past due to sched's)

We flew in on Sunday AM and Kenn and i walked most of the strip.
(from Mandalay Bay to the Venetian and back)
We stayed at the Luxor andthat night we had a work dinner at the Burger Bar in Mandalay.

Monday I worked and Kenn walked from our hotel to the venetian AGAIN and THEN all the way to the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign.
(which for those who don't know is the opp. direction then the venetian from our hotel)
That night we took a cab to the mirage hotel ate
and then watched the Beatles Love show from cirque du soleil.
(which is FANTASTIC) We bought B a shirt

Tuesday I worked and Kenn rested b/c his feet were blistered from all the walking.
That evening before i got out of work he went up to the bellagio hotel to take pics of the fountains. After that we met up and took a cab to the Hard Rock Hotel, had dinner there and then took a cab to New York, New York and rode the roller coaster. (which was awesome)
Then we went to the House Of Blues for drinks.

Weds I worked a half day,
Kenn and I met up and went to the airport and got home about midnight.
Needless to say we are both dragging today being 3hrs behind and only sleeping 5hrs and then getting up early.

Here are some pictures that we took on my camera. Needless to say his pics will be much better and I will put them up when he finishes with them.

(with a GREAT ad in the background)

Feb 14th was also Chinese New Year so all of the Hotels had
the most gorgeous decorations. This is inside the Venetian.

Me and the Advantage Puppy
(the one in the commercial where they sing at summer camp about ain't no ticks on me)
She actually was getting too old to be the puppy so my coworker bought her at the end of the show and took her home.

Crocodile Hunter Kenn
(we snuck him into the convention for a little bit)

We had a very good but tiring time. (too much in too short a time period)
we are VERY thankful to be home. And i cant believe that B is turning 3 this weekend!
I'm very excited for his party!!!

And if your wondering he didn't miss us a bit while we were gone!
(He stayed with Grandmom/GrandRuss and Aunt Gail)

Blizzard Feb 2010

So this weather has been insane. It didnt get cold until December, and then we have the highest recorded snowstorm in MD history for Dec. We had another snow last weekend and then the 3rd largest snowstorm in MD's history PERIOD yesterday/today.
We got up at 8pm and kenn went off to work outside with my parents old snow blower which was not cooperating. 2hrs later he had done the area around his car and our front walkway. I took over at that point and did 1/4 of our deck. After lunch kenn went downstairs and worked on taking apart the entire snow blowers engine (via Internet videos) and figured out the problem and got it to work. about 5pm B decided he wanted to go for a walk outside around the neighborhood. He had a blast on the sled. His laugh is the single greatest thing in our lives.
He amazes us everyday.
todays example: New favorite show Team Umizoomi had an episode he watched earlier on the week with 3 dinosaurs. I asked him if he wanted to watch that again tonight at dinner. He said yes and then i asked what 3 dinosaurs were on the episode. He names ALL Three!
1)brachiosaurus
2)Stegosaurus
3)I cant even remember the name!
it was "____ Raptor" it was a small gliding raptor.
When he wakes up i'll have to ask him haha. i was just totally amazed he remembered it.

Now last snow our shed collapsed. Kenn spent weds and thurs night building a wooden frame to keep it up in this snowstorm... so far so good...

Our deck after i shoveled part of it

Mocha fighting the snowflakes off

He wanted to walk and pull the sled.

My parents have a pic of me on top of a snowhill during the 1983 blizzard.

We tried to re-enact it. B did not want too though....

It was a beautiful evening.

Cookie Time!

We've had our second blizzard of the year, so I planned accordingly. I decided I would make Kenns favorite thing, choc. chip cookies! I got the recipe for his mom who would make them every christmas and its passed down to me. Normally at christmas time i make 4 batches.

When we only had one package of choc chips and kenn found out (meaning I could only make one batch) he went back out into the snowstorm at 5pm last night just to buy another bag of chips. That is how dedicated this man is. So today Brandon helped me make HIS first batches of cookies.

my amazingly awesome new mixer :)
(Thank you Mrs.Bev!!!)

And yes they ARE as good as they look :)
