Weds took the kids to play Putt Putt (I think Lily's first time)
She liked Sword fighting with them...
Lily did the normal thing with moving the ball with her hand near the whole after the initial putt.
She seemed to like it though and was very patient with the line.
After Brandon played bumper cars, but with an inflated car... He enjoyed it to say the least.
That night after Lily was in bed we made S'mores on the back grill
Thursday was Lily's 2nd Birthday.
After she woke up she opened her presents
Then we went down to Duck and walked on the Bayside boardwalk.
We had some yummy pizza and Ice Cream
We went swimming again that afternoon
View of our backyard.
One day we even had a deer hanging out back there!
That night we had to get ready for the Hurricane Arthur (Grade 2)
Lily helped Kenn move the chairs to one side of the deck
We had IceCream cake after dinner that night and hunkered down.
The hurricane hit about 2:30AM and Kenn and I woke up and just listened to it until about 4:30AM
It was frightening and I just hoped the power would stay on, the Kids would stay asleep and the windows did not break. Luckily ALL of those things were OK.
The next morning (Friday) Kenn and I walked around to see if there was any damage. There was some flooding on the streets (maybe a foot deep) but no damage.
We took Brandon out to the movies to see Earth to Echo (his first big kid movie)
He loved it.
When we came out it was a beautiful day!
Friday was also the Fourth of July, but due to the storm they cancelled all the fireworks. Kenn and I went to dinner alone at The Blue Point. It was some of the best seafood I've ever had.
Sat was our last real day so we went to the Beach
Then came back, had lunch and went in the pool.
(Below the kids had a dance party)
Sat night we had our last Dinner at North Banks Restaurant and had more awesome Seafood.
We left the next morning around 9AM and had an easy 6hr ride home.
Everyone agreed that was the most relaxing vacation ever and can't wait to go back!
