Day 3- Hollywood Studios

On our third day in Disney we went to Hollywood Studios.
This is prob the only park that I really wish we had more time in.
There were so many shows and they only play at specific times...
we were on a strict timeline here...

First thing we did when we got there was go and get our fast passes for the Toy Story ride.
(we learned our lesson last time)
We actually got the fast passes and then waited in line and went on the ride right then.

On the way to the ride we got to meet some characters.
Right when they took this picture Lightening reved his engine,
so then Brandon put his hands on his ears hence the picture

Brandon and Mr. Potato head while we were in line for Toy Story

 The boys in 3D glasses
We had a little bit of time to fill so we went to the "honey I shrunk the Kids" play area.
Its so funny b/c I remember going on this as a kid.
Plus all of these children have NO idea what that movie is.
Here's Brandon going down the currently non existent Kodak film slide

 Spiderweb tunnels

I just took this b/c i think the grass towering over you looks so life like and neat

So one of the things we were doing for the first time was going to see the Fantasmic show that night.
Out of all the times I've been to Disney, I have NEVER seen that firework show.
I heard from a friend that you can get tickets in advance by purchasing a food package,
that way you get seats right away and do no have to leave the rides early to wait in line.
When you do that package you have a choice of 3 places to eat, (Normally for dinner)
but since we were seeing the 6pm show we couldn't get any good dinner times.
So we ended up having a 3 course meal for lunch at Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano
I honestly think this was the best meal we had all week.

After Brandon ate his meal he got a kids meal cupcake that looked just like spaghetti.
He was confused but then happily ate it. It was really neat.

Next we went over to the Disney JR show that he loved so much last time.
It didn't disappoint him :)
(even though it was exactly the same)

Then we caught the Pixar Parade that my mother took Brandon to last time
He sang the song they played for days, and still talks about it.

Brandon checking the hand prints outside the Chinese Theater before the Great Movie Ride

Brandon's second favorite thing from his first visit here:
The car show!
This time they updated it and took out Herbie the love bug
(THANK GOODNESS)
and put in Lightening McQueen.
Which all the kids loved
He even chased a spy car. Brandon really enjoyed it.
We went on our second ride of Toy Story with our fast passes.
We really like this picture :)

Then Fantasmic!
Its true the package we got was so worth it.
We walked right in, had a special seating area where we could pick any seat we wanted.
We clearly had no idea what this was and took the front row
all the other sections were packed with people and for once we didn't have to touch someone
Basically what the Fantasmic show is a fireworks and image display on water
with characters that go by on boats... Did i mention Water?
Well apparently tall water display (no matter how pretty)
with wind equal water on you and your camera....
The picture below is the only one I took, kenn has some better ones but we had to keep covering
the cameras quickly. And although it was warm, it was JUST cold enough to
get chilly with all the water droplets.
It was a really beautiful and neat show with the images projected onto the wall of water,
We just know better then to sit that close next time :)

The show was pretty early and the park was basically closed, so we took the boat over to downtown Disney and ate a quick to go dinner and shopped.
Brandon was exhausted and fell asleep long before we left.
So we just got him a big cookie from Ghirardelli's while we got ice cream :)

Disney 2012- Day 2

I should be back to normal posting now that I have taken a break from College
so I can actually enjoy some of this pregnancy. (6mos already!!)
So here is Day 2 of our Magical Adventure in Jan

Above is a view from our front door of our hotel room.

The three caballeros outside our hotel main building

Brandon eating his fav Mickey waffles inside the hotel straw market
 Day 2 Epcot!

Brandon outside Mission Space (which he went on!)
I sadly could not since they frown upon Preg women on the "fun" rides

Brandon took the picture above of the Lion Fish with my camera since I forgot his.
I love to see the views the kids get at their height.

brandon went up to talk to the lady with the skeleton items.
He is holding a Manatee "fin" and comparing his hand to it.

My favorite picture of the day

This one would have been a great shot of Brandon outside the Imagination Ride
with the water going up the fountain and the monorail...
but no, he refused to pose for me. :P

We went onto the World Showcase.
Brandon in Canada trying to hold on to the totem pool nose.
Not quite tall enough...

In England they had drawn a "snakes and Ladders" game on the ground
Brandon REALLY wanted to play. so we told him he had to ask..
Which he refused. Finally I went up and asked for him and of course he could play.
But as he started his shyness really got the better of him and he did that face you see below
and he basically didn't participate. so we left...
Oh the hardship of wanting to play, but too shy to do it in public.

Me and Marie in France and tiny baby bump
In France we got Brandon a choc. Chip cookie. above is the remaining mess
I just thought the Morocco buildings were beautiful

Japanese Garden where we ate lunch

Brandon Playing drums in Africa (not really a formal designated country)

We watched a show in China
The woman below is balancing a large ceramic pot on her feet.
She also balanced and rotated a square table along with other things. it was crazy

FINALLY we get to Mexico and the Three Caballeros ride he's been waiting for

 we even found Donald outside!
We then went to dinner at the Coral Reef
It has one full wall of glass behind it with one of the largest aquariums in the world
so we got to watch the fish and sharks and turtles swim while we ate.

 Christmas Tree at Epcot

While waiting for the fireworks we were greeted by this duck
begging for food. Brandon thought it was going to peck his shoes.
She came over like 10x.

We watched the Fireworks and then went back to the hotel for a much needed rest :)
