Turning 1 Year Old

Lily turned One on July 3rd!
Since its been almost 6 years since we've been through all of this,
I am continually surprised at everything she can do!

A week or two before she turned one Lily began taking her first official steps!
Then a week or so after she turned one she really took off!
It's safe to say she's now walking!
Lily is also talking!
She can say "Uh-oh" (her first word)
"ishh" (fish)  "da" (dog)
"Go" "ohh"
and occasionally "baby"

She is wearing size 18 months and 4 diapers.
She is completely off of formula and bottles.
(the only part that was difficult was the one before bed,
I tried giving her a sippy cup instead and she would "yell" at me.
so now she gets nothing at all)

At her Dr's appt on the 7th she
 weighed 20lbs 10oz (50%)
Length: 30" (75%)
and head 46.5cm (90%)
She had 4 shots, cried for a minute and then was calm by the time she was out the door.

She loves blueberry waffles, apple sauce, mac N Cheese, Gerber fruit cookies,
pasta, Gerber pasta pickups, PB crackers, banana's & when she's in the mood fruit cups.

She loves daycare and is moving up to the Toddler class officially at the end of the month!
She went to that class for the day today and ate lunch at a table with the other bigger kids!

She loves playing with her big brother, playing in the living room with all her musical toys.
She likes things she can open and close and put blocks and balls into. Dancing
She also loves THROWING balls, reading books and splashing in the water.
Bath time is prob her favorite time of day.
She goes to bed between 7-7:30pm and wakes up 6:30/7am.
She takes 2 or 3 naps a day on weekends but at daycare its normally one poss two.
With her new class she will be napping on a cot and only 1x a day.
(She prob wont be on a cot off the bat)

She's grown so much in the past year and we love every second of it!

Lily's First Birthday!

We decided to have Lily's First Birthday at a local park,
we were having a luau and decided it would be easier to accomplish outside of my house.
(Plus the kids could play on the playground)

We had sand buckets as the goodie bags along with lei's and fans.

We also had gummy fish, Sugar cookie starfish and chocolate shell and seahorse pops
My picture below came out horrible with my little point and shoot camera.
It was a picture of Lily by month

I forced kenn into carving a sea turtle watermelon

We had a water table for the kids to play with Hawaiian duckies in

 Lily's smash cake above
The coconut cake with pineapple filling below for the rest of us :)
 The first finger in...

After being cleaned up with GodMother Aunt Julia (who helped decorate the cookies and make the pops)
Then back to the duck pond!

Even though Lily was diagnosed with her first double ear infections just days before her party she was all smiles that day! It was pretty hot but no rain! We were very lucky.
We feel so fortunate to have such amazing friends and family to drive all the way to spend the day with us!

Eleven Month Lily!

One More Month!
no more formula
no more bottles
no more babyfood
no more counting age by months
no more baby Lily!

Hard to believe that a year ago it was HOT, the power was going out
and we were preparing for Miss Lily's entrance into the world.

What is Lily up to now...
She stands like a CHAMP
she will stand forever! Now if you want her to walk to you...
She will lean and fall over.
Legs have not quite gotten the word to move.
She is back at daycare so eating all the normal food with 5 bottles a day
(which i am going to reduce starting tomorrow)
and 1 jar of babyfood  as an early dinner
(which i am swapping to pasta pickups next week)

She is in size 18mos shirts and 12mos shorts
Still in size 3 diapers, about to go into 4's.
She has 8 teeth now and likes to use them on crunchy and carb foods
She is super tall, she can reach her feet to the bottom of her high chair now.
Lily is also putting the ball into her dinosaur all on her own,
so the hand eye coordination is constantly improving.
She loves to dance, she is much more vocal/yelling when she's happy.
she is always a really happy baby!

She likes to crawl under her table..
sometimes she gets stuck and cant remember how to get out

putting the ball into the dinosaur

she loves her dolls!

While trying to capture her 11 month pictures she kept pulling off her sticker.
Good thing she only has 1 more left!

bye bye!

Zoo Two

When we went to the zoo with the 4C's we were using passes that were good all weekend.
So since we didn't have anything going on Monday and it was a long Memorial day weekend
we decided to go back with Daddy!

It wasn't crowded at all and the animals seemed to be out more

Brandon does this thing when there is someone ANYWHERE
that allows you to ask questions... he will think up as many questions as possible.
Man with the ostrich egg found that out.

playing with the monkey

Brandon had new sandals on that hurt his feet so Daddy ended up carrying him back to the tram.
It was a very nice relaxing trip!

Strawberry Picking 2013

We didn't get to go strawberry picking last year, due to my late pregnancy state and being busy.
So we made a point to make sure we got out there this year.
Funny thing was, it ended up being the one weekend where it was chilly!

Brandon had a great time regardless!

Love couch

" mom will you sit with me on the love couch?"
"You mean the love seat?"
" the love couch, so we can cuddle"
" yes it's called a love SEAT"
"Ohh a love C, C like Chisholm"
"Ok, whatever "
( the cuteness was too much to correct)

Zoo with the Moorhouse Family

I was so excited we got to spend the day at the Zoo with the 4 C's and my mother.
Brandon and Connor are the most adorable cousins!!
They kept randomly holding hands, it made me melt.

We were inside a tunnel and there was a curtain,
so the boys would jump out of the curtain and the girls were giggling like crazy.
they did this about 20x and all 4 had the biggest smiles on their faces

at lunch my mom was holding Corben.. Oh the Smiles!! so adorable

Brother Love

Then Lily grabbed his hand... double melting~

It was so nice to get to spend a few hours with the Moorhouse crew!
The zoo was a little crowded when we first got there with a million school trips,
but after lunch it was wide open and the kids had a blast.
