OC

A friend of mine suggested that we go to OC for the weekend and bring the kids.
I know another girl from high school that lives in DE right outside of OC so I suggested
that she and another g/f who lives in York, PA hang out also.
The short story is the orig friend bailed out and I decided I would just drive up for the day
since the other two were still going to meet. My mother graciously decided that
she would take B and I overnight so we wouldn't have the long trip.

First, we haven't been to OC for 2 years...
This was B at the Hilton last time we went.

This is B now!

It was raining all the way there but once we got to the beach it was fine.
We had to kill some time before we met up with the friends so this is
brandon making a sport out of anything.
He just plopped down took off his socks and chucked them as far as he could.
he would get up, grab the socks, run back to the edge of the doorway and do it again.

Then the 3 of us went out to the beach
He wasn't very thrilled about getting his shoes sandy at first.

He found some shells and in true B fashion
would throw them into the ocean

later we went to the boardwalk to meet up with my friends.
We saw a large crowd of people on the beach, then they started to move.
This is what we saw as it cleared.

It was horribly sad and fascinating all at the same time.
I'd had never seen a whale before but I didn't know
how to explain to brandon why the humpback whale wasn't in the water.
Luckily he didn't seem to grasp what was happening.

We then went to the arcade where he got to play "real bowling"
Or as real as its been for him VS the Wii games.

Then basketball

Here is brandon with all the kids
(3 belong to one woman and 1 to the other)

That night my mother watched B at the hotel and the other girls had their families watch their children and we got to go out for dinner.
Sunday the 3 of us had a nice breakfast at the hotel and drove home.
Besides not napping Brandon had a great time!
(he was telling me today about throwing seashells into the ocean)
