8th Anniversary!

8 Years ago today I walked down the aisle to meet the man I knew I was meant to be with
for the rest of my life.

To celebrate last weekend we went to NYC.
This was the first time we've driven up there.
(Normally its bus or train)
On the way up we only listened to albums that we used to play while dating.

These are pics going into NYC. I believe this is the Brooklyn Bridge
Above is ON the bridge, below is the bridge after we got off

We stayed in Long Island City, which was only like 3 miles outside of NYC.
(Saved us like 200bucks) so we checked in and took the train in.
First we went to Central Park

Then we went to John Lennon's Strawberry fields
(its in Central park, across the street from where he was shot)

Then we walked to the Metropolitan museum of Art.
On the way there was a German Parade.
I think this was the first "real" parade i've seen.
(besides local ones)
It reminded me a lot of Ferris B's day off

Inside the Met we ate at the Wine bar and walked around.
Below is a beautiful choir screen from the Cathedral of Valladoid.
Completed in 1763, its 52 x 42 feet tall.

And my favorite part was the Vincent Van Gogh Paintings
Below is "Irises" and "Cypresses"

The two of us outside the Met

Then we caught the train to Time square.

below shows the NYE ball
Then we had a fantastic dinner at Angus McIndoe,
then on to the American Idiot Musical at the St.James Theatre

We finished off the great night back in Time square doing some shopping.

The Next day we had breakfast and then got back up to go back into the city.
Below is the view from our hotel walking to the subway.
(which we got very efficient about using)
It was Sunday morning so it was BEAUTIFUL hearing the church bells going off.
Below is my favorite Church St. Patrick's.

Inside the church.
Mass was going on, but it was halfway over by the time we got there.

Then we walked up 5th Ave, and to FAO Schwartz where we did a little
Christmas shopping for B.

The panda REALLY wanted me to take him home.
Kenn said no.

Then we went back to the hotel got the car and headed home.
On the way home the GPS decided it was quicker to route me through the City.
I was driving Since the NFL game was on, so he had his phone hooked up to it.

Kenn took the moment to document our trip through the city with my camera.

Below is driving through time square

After the Tunnel... Good-Bye NY!
The trip deff wasn't long enough!!!
It's been 9 years since we had been there last.
We deff plan on going more frequently!

Tonight we went out to Dinner & did our annual "night of 2 desserts"
(one at the restaurant and Ben & Jerrys to take home)
If thats not Romance I don't know what is!
