9 Months!

I feel like Lily is such a big girl now!

Last week she turned 9 Months.
Its hard to believe i'm starting to plan her 1st Birthday Party already!

on 4/4/13 she had her Dr appt and so I have her updated Stats!

Lily is now 28.5" long (75%)

she weighs 18.06lbs (50%)

and her head is 46cm (75%)

She is wearing 12 month clothing now.

With all the crazy warm weather I needed to go out and get her shorts!

She is still in size 3 diapers and has 5 bottles a day.

(although the amount per bottle is quickly diminishing) 

she eats her baby-food 3x a day and i have added a 4th time for yogurt. 

she LOVES puffs and the Gerber cookies and the "cheese curls and wagon wheels"

She loves to play with all her toys, its starting to feel like a daycare in my living room. 

She says "dadada" and "mamama" now. 

She pulls up on everything and is starting to take steps when you hold her hands. 

Lily also now has 6 teeth! and she knows how to use them!

 She also likes to sit on her knees a lot. 

 She is now able to reach the end tables

(i love the look of "what?! i'm not allowed to play with my brothers Wii"?)

 She still adores bath time, i need to sign her up for a mommy and me swim class.

the other day in the tub (which the pic below is from)

i decided to add some more hot water b/c the water was getting cold.

at first she had her feet in it as she sat in the tub. 

she quickly moved closer and put her legs in,

then her back and then her head.

she thought the warm water was the best and kept smiling with her head getting drenched.

it was so adorable!

I'm not sure if i have gone over her routine or not recently

she wakes up around 7am, plays in her crib until 7:30am.

I get her out and feed her food and puffs then she drinks part of a 4oz bottle.

at 9ish she takes a nap and sleeps until 10:30am

I feed her baby yogurt and she drinks part of a 6oz bottle.

at 11:45/12 she eats her babyfood and snack lunch

she goes back down for nap around 1pm

around 2:30pm she wakes up and at 3pm she gets a 6-8oz bottle.

4:30pm she gets dinner and drinks part of a 4oz bottle.

around 6-6:30pm she gets a bath, brushes her teeth

drinks a 9oz bottle, and we read a book.

She LOVES the touch and feel ones.

(this may be why she chases after Holden and tries to pull his hair out)

I'm not sure if I've mentioned or not... everyone loves rocking a baby to sleep and snuggling.

well lily is NOT one of those babies. after her bottle she does not want to be rocked or held.

so i put her in her crib, we trade smiles and she is off to sleep by 7pm. 

she is not one for being sung/rocked to sleep. 

Hopefully when she gets older she will. I miss those times like i had with Brandon. 

 this is her trying to get into her books while i'm doing the pictures.

Brandon's Opening day

Brandon used to be a big football fan. 

Well last spring that ended. 

He is now a HUGE baseball fan.

And it wasn't because the O's actually did well last year.

He was really into it the whole season and couldn't wait until he could play. 

He started practice 2 weeks ago and today they had their official opening day parade and game.

It was also extra exciting because Kenn and I made the banner :)

Kenn drew (freehand) the center image while i hot glued and felted

until I had a blister....

So I was thrilled to see Brandon got to help carry it.

 We also found out that his neighborhood best friend was on his team.

They had the whole bench, but they decided to sit this close to each other.

it was kind of adorable. 

Brandon had 3 times up at bat and hit a base hit for all 3!

We were so proud!

 But seriously for the most part he played great and payed attention

They aren't allowed to keep score, but what group of kids isn't?

Easter 2013

 Brandon wasn't too excited to see the Easter Bunny this year (shocker)

but we told him he had to since Lily had never met him

So we get there and Lily isn't scared. but she also doesn't want to smile.

This was the only image of her smiling, bc she was looking at me. 

afterwards Brandon decided he wasn't so bad.

He is so darn tall he hides half the bunny's head now!

The Easter Bunny brought the 4 of us our baskets

We went to Mass, then brunch with GrandPop, MomMom, Aunt Teresa and Mr. Paul.

Then Nan came over to visit and we ended up at Dinner at GrandMom and GrandRuss's where we had another egg hunt.

Brandon and Lily held up great and got spoiled as always.

March Museums

Earlier in March my Mother and I took Brandon to Philly to the Please Touch Museum 

while kenn stayed home with Lily. 

He had been asking to go, but we were a little concerned he was getting too big.

Even though he is getting to that point he still had a really good time,

and did NOT want to leave.

Since I had him all week for spring break i was trying to think up things for us to do.

I have a friend with two daughters who lives in York, PA so we suggested doing something.

So we went up to the Turkey Hill Ice Cream Experience

I was shocked that we spent over 2hrs on one floor!

He talked about it for days!

 the 3 of them watched the movie on how to make icecream at LEAST 3 times

 he learned to identify bad bacteria in milk 

 then got to "shoot" the bad bacteria 

 you also get all the free ice cream and tea samples you want

we also got to make our own ice cream.

you went to one machine to pick the flavors.

Brandon chose, chocolate ice cream with strawberry flavor and strawberry swirl. along with cheese puffs and banana chips.

I "Made" chocolate with peanut butter swirl, sea salt and pecans. 

The next computer you got to design your own ice cream container. 

then lastly you got to create your own commercial.

Brandon was scared at first and made me do one alone (i will not be sharing)

and then he said he would do it but i had to help.

he chose to read it all on his own but i look crazy b/c i am mouthing the words 

next to him in case he needs help...

We then had lunch at Panera and then headed over to Wolfgang's Chocolate Factory

for some Easter candy to load up on to bring home. sooooo good.

The kids passed out on the way home. 

And no i was not driving and taking pictures on my phone.

it was my camera. :P

March 2013

Since I've been posting Monthly I was looking over what images to upload for March... I was shocked to see how many folders i had on my computer. So I'm going to try and do this tonight... Not sure if i will get it all done but here we go.

First here is brandon riding his bike without training wheels ;)

Then the first day of Spring Break we got snow!

 poor Lily can not sit up in that darn snow suit

 I made my first (that I'm aware of) snowman ever!

Brandon helped a little but soon got bored.

You can see there wasn't much snow, and by making this snowman the grass was showing.

It also was melted by the end of the day.

Brandon was not happy i used his Easter eggs as eyes, Kenns scarf and Lily's teething ring as a mouth.

He was was pretty mad actually. 

Later that same day B and I dyed his Easter Eggs.

This was the first time i've ever made hard boiled eggs (yes shocking)

and taken a bite of one. I prob wont do it again...

 He made angry bird easter eggs

and he keeps reminding me how i dropped and cracked one...

By being off of work brandon was able to go to the community easter egg hunt for once.

These are all the kids in the neighborhood except for 4.

I am glad he got to go b/c the next day we figured out he had gotten the flu from one of the neighborhood kids (not shown for that same reason)

So we were stuck in all weekend and couldn't go to the annual rolling road hunt.
